Holiday Wishes from the Staff of SETAC Globe

Bill Goodfellow and Tim Canfield, SETAC Globe Co-editors-in-chief

Bill Goodfellow and Tim CanfieldWe wish each of our members and friends of SETAC a wonderful holiday season. Enjoy the time spent with family and friends and have a happy, healthy 2018.

This issue is our last for 2017, giving us a chance to thank everyone who has made this a successful year for SETAC. We are thankful that the SETAC Globe has been part of that success. In 2017, we held successful annual meetings in SETAC Europe (May; Brussels, Belgium), SETAC Latin America (September; Santos, São Paulo, Brazil), SETAC Africa (October; Calabar, Nigeria) and SETAC North America (November; Minneapolis, Minnesota). SETAC activities included many branch and chapter meetings held throughout our five geographic units, multiple committee and special interest group meetings, numerous workshops, symposia and focused topic meetings, as well as another successful Young Environmental Scientist (YES) meeting. Our programming, such as our meetings and horizon scanning efforts, provides an excellent opportunity to continually address old, new and ever-changing environmental issues through continued dialogue and interactions at venues, where we present our scientific findings using our unique tripartite lens, which looks at these issues from nearly a 360-degree perspective. However, SETAC would not be the impactful professional society that it is without the hard work of each of our members and staff. We thank everyone for their substantive contributions throughout this past year.

On behalf of Jen, Sabine, Delphine and Dusty, our SETAC Brussels and Pensacola staff, ET&C and IEAM journal staff, as well as the SETAC World Council and geographic unit boards and councils, we wish you the warmest holiday wishes and a healthy and prosperous new year.
