YES 2016YES 2016: Science in the Swamp

The North America Student Advisory Council (NASAC) is excited to be hosting the 5th SETAC Young Environmental Scientists (YES) meeting this spring. This is the first time this “for-students, by-students” event will be held in North America, and the meeting will take place from 28 February–2 March 2016 at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

SETAC LCASETAC North America LCA Advisory Group Organizes Life Cycle Inventory Road mapping Workshop

The SETAC North America LCA Advisory Group began its current road mapping activities in 2013 with emphasis on the interpretation step (“Supporting Decision Makers with LCA”) of the ISO framework. With the release of the first roadmap piece in 2015 along with milestones such as new templates for visualization, the LCA North America Advisory group planned and conducted a workshop at the recent SETAC North America annual meeting in Salt Lake City. The purpose of this workshop was to begin a process for creating a roadmap toward certain advancements in Life Cycle Inventory practice.
