Kelly Magathan, SERDP/ESTCP Support Office

Partners in Environmental Technology Technical Symposium & Workshop, "Meeting DoD’s Environmental Challenges," will be held 29 November - 1 December, at the Washington Hilton, Washington, D.C. Sponsored by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), this annual event assembles more than 1,200 environmental researchers and technology developers with the defense user and regulatory communities to showcase cutting edge environmental technologies and ideas, as well as communicate the most difficult challenges of our defense establishment. This year’s Symposium & Workshop will offer an opening Plenary Session, 15 technical sessions, four short courses, more than 450 technical poster presentations, and exhibitors from funding and partnering organizations. Technical sessions will highlight research and innovative technologies that assist DoD in addressing increasingly complex environmental and mission sustainability challenges. Short courses on select technologies and alternative approaches in the environmental restoration and munitions response areas will offer unique training opportunities on recent advancements in science and technology.
